The Mainstream Board comprises a diverse and skilled group. Together they form a complementary team leading Mainstream with strong commercial and strategic direction, sound governance and financial rigour.

Greg Haliday - OWNER & Managing Director

Greg is co-founder and owner of Mainsteam, together with his wife Diane.

With extensive experience and proven performance in a number of roles with nationwide freight companies, Greg co-started Mainstream in 1992.

Greg's approach is innovative and solution-driven. His unrelenting can-do style and strong work ethic meant the business grew rapidly; successfully moving freight that was typically perishable, urgent, or just simply difficult.

Today Greg holds the positions of Managing Director and Chairman of the Board. His leadership style is very much hands-on and forthright. Day-to-day activities still include managing clients, many of whom had faith in Greg and Diane when they began using Mainstream in the early 1990s.

John Fenwick - commercial director, cfo.

B.A B.Com ACA

John's experience in the freight industry extends over 15 years in a variety of Executive Management and Board roles. They include positions within the banking sector, first with Countrywide Bank and most recently Westpac New Zealand, and as Chief Executive Officer of a nationwide transport company.

John joined Mainstream in 2010 as Chief Financial Officer. John's financial and CEO experience brings considerable skill and expertise in the areas of managed growth, leadership and revenue management. His role at Mainstream is to maintain prudent financial management and contribute to growth initiatives as Mainstream develops its integrated supply chain offering.

In 2001 John became a Chartered Accountant and is today a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants.

Paul Sills - INDEPENDENT ADVISOR

LLB (Hons)

Paul is a Barrister, Business Adviser and Independent Director. He became a member of the Mainstream Board in an advisory capacity in 2009.

Paul has a proven track record for delivering results. His career includes leadership of eight companies serving domestic and global markets; including Europe, USA, Middle East and South East Asia.

Prior to his involvement in private business Paul held senior commercial law positions with some of New Zealand's most notable law firms.

Paul's experience as a skilled strategist combined with his senior operational and financial experience contributes considerably to the direction and growth of Mainstream.

Paul has been a member of the NZ Institute of Directors since 2008.

Robert Foster - INDEPENDENT ADVISOR

B.Com

After over 14 years providing professional accounting services and business strategy advice to Mainstream, Robert joined the Mainstream Board at its formation in 2009.

Robert has been a Senior Partner since 1992 with international accounting firm, BDO New Zealand. His strong commercial experience in facilitating acquisitions, financial planning and delivering business growth plays a significant role within the Board.

Robert is passionate about businesses achieving success through high quality and skilled people in key positions.

Robert is a member of the New Zealand Institute of Chartered Accountants.

Diane Haliday - OWNER & IT DIRECTOR

Diane is co-founder and owner of Mainsteam, together with her husband Greg.

Diane achieved an accomplished career in Information Technology (IT) before co-founding Mainstream in 1992.

Diane manages the Mainstream IT Department and leads the Board on the company's instrastructure and investment strategy in Information Technology.
